Chrysalis Heart began its creation as 2 photographs – 1 was a multiple exposure image and the other was a still shot of the heart alone. These 2 images were merged and edited to bring out tones & subtle details. Once the photography portion was complete, it was brilliantly transformed into an archival pigment print on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Matte Paper with an Ultrasmooth finish 308gsm weight. The print was coated with a print shield protectant and dry-mounted onto birch wood panel that had been given a hand-aged finishing treatment. The print edges were then sanded and bevelled to give a slight white border and to marry the print to the panel. Once the adhesive had cured completely, the MAGIC began! Yuli then added life & movement to the imagery by creating brushstrokes with acrylic gel medium. It was also during the hand embellishment process & the laying on of hands that Yuli infused healing heart frequencies from her heart into the art.
Each original is as unique as a fingerprint.
