This piece began as the 1st of a series using different color roses to depict the stages of womanhood from womb to tomb. As this piece is all about the daughter in the womb, this piece prompted me to truly get in touch with my divine feminine – to do what is called Yoni Work/Yoni Healing/Womb Work and healing the Mother Wound within… to go deep, take a walk with some shadows and find all the places in which I have been stuffed down in the proverbial basement – where I was made to feel small and my light dimmed…

Much love and care went into creating & assembling this beautiful original piece of artwork!
Embryo began its creation as a simple photograph of a carefully selected beautiful and perfect white rose. Using digital processes and research, the sonogram was created. Meanwhile, a custom birch wood art cradle was being created and India Ink applied to the sides. Once the total digital image and the cradle were complete, it was time to “put the baby in the cradle.” Embryo was printed directly onto the panel with special infrared printing methods allowing for some of he wood grain to show through. Once the ink had dried completely, it was time for the true MAGIC to began! Yuli added life & movement to the imagery by creating brushstrokes with acrylic gel medium which also serves to protect the print from the elements.
It was also during the hand embellishment process & the laying on of hands that Yuli infused healing heart frequencies from her heart into the art.
